Sunday Serenity

I stayed for four days in my hometown and I feel happy & peaceful at the same time. I miss the sound of waves, the sea breeze, the clear blue skies, fresh air and the feeling of being barefoot in the sand. I woke up on Sunday early in the morning and went to the seashore, I waited for Mt. Mayon ( a perfect cone-shaped volcano) to show up and I got lucky while reading a book entitled "The Life of Pi" written by Yann Martel.
I already watched the movie and decided to give the book a try. I sat at the corner of the sea wall while reading the book that tells a story of a young man who survived 227 days after a shipwreck while stranded on a boat in the Pacific Ocean with a Bengal tiger named Richard Parker. I love stories that inspires people and explores our spirituality.

An excerpt in the book:

“The world isn’t just the way it is. It is how we understand it, no? And in understanding something, we bring something to it, no? Doesn’t that make life a story?”

Even small or big moments, victories or struggles in our lives are a story that can inspire or uplift others. While looking at the sea, I feel relaxed and somehow felt grateful to exist on that very exact place. Sometimes you don't have to see grand or much bigger things to feel happy and tell your own story. You just have to experience and live in the moment.
