It was May, and I feel the warm summer wind as I enjoy a few bites of sweet cookies and read one of the works of an inspiring author I truly admire. I woke up at exactly 6AM, not my usual time of breakfast but when you're in the province, the time runs differently compared when you're in the city. Summer in the province is warmer than ever, I thought a lot of trees would absorb the heat but it didn't spared me from having sunburn.
In some days I get to eat papaya, guyabano, coconut, avocado, pineapples etc. for free by all the neighbors that treat each other as relatives and exchanging food and stories. In the afternoon, I spend time singing at the Videoke or staying at the Kubo just to feel the clear breeze as I take a nap. I will woke up at the sound of children's laughter and elders singing in the front of the small church to held a Santacruzan, where everyone would parade a big, decorated letters and give offerings. While staying there, I can't help but notice how animals roam freely and not caged. My aunt's dogs would bathe in the sea and return at the yard just to dry themselves under the heat of the sun. They would follow as we stayed in the seawall waiting for sunsets or finding data signals. I'm a fan of sunsets wherever I go. Every time I got the chance, I would took photos while I stare at it in silence. Summer is the warmest season and it wasn't over until I can finally wear outfits and swim. Happy Summer!
